T'was the Night Before Winters

T'was the night before Winters and all through the house
there was a boggart stirring, about the size of a mouse.

He creeped in the dark on the tips of his toes,
the only thing visible, the white of his nose.

Big boxes he saw beneath a tall tree
were presents, he guessed, as he giggled with glee.

"To Otto, from Bismark" he read on one box,
t'was a gift for a raccoon from a tall fennec fox.

Wrapped up with paper, some great gift it did hide,
the boggart grinned widely, "Let's see what's inside!"

Just then, a soft noise pierced through the room,
they were the footsteps of Otto, a sleepy raccoon.

He opened the fridge and was bathed in light,
he wore only boxers at this time of night.

Out he pulled a large white jug,
and began to pour milk into a blue coffee mug.

He moaned "Man oh man, am I tired as hell"
just as the boggart thought up a neat spell.

"Here you go, a fun gift from me,
just be glad it's not pee."

His spell was silent, the mischief was done,
to the raccoon's milk, he had added some fun.

The 'coon took a drink, and then chirred with glee,
"What wonder is this? My milk's strawberry!"

He scanned the darkness, he knew the source,
but the boggart was crafty, and hidden of course.

He sat and smiled from atop the tree,
"Tired eyes like those will never find me!"

The raccoon shrugged and went back to bed,
as Raegal the boggart shook his fuzzy head.

Back under the tree, the boggart looked hard,
until he eventually stopped at a Winters Day card.

It was hidden away at the back of the tree,
"To Raegal, from all of us. This card is for me!"

He smiled brightly as he read what was inside,
an interesting thing for his buddies to hide.

"Good job finding this, you silly furball,
Happy Winters Day, with love from us all"

"That's so nice!" he thought as his heart did sing,
he wasn't expecting to get anything!

He flew through the room and grabbed a pencil and sticky note,
then sat at a table, the following he wrote:

"Thanks for the gift, I loved it a lot!
Say, Otto, nice undies, they're really quite hot!"

"I'm kidding, of course, I wanted to rhyme,
but please, Otto - I'm begging, wear a robe next time!"

His letter done, his mischief spent,
he slipped under a door crack, and into the night he went.

He flew through the air, headed for home,
so he could record this night in his tome.

"I love you all with all of my might,
Happy Winters Day Eve, now I say goodnight!"
Since I didn't feel like making something christmas related art-wise, I wrote a poem instead! "Winters Day" is a non-denominational facsimile representing every winter holiday you can think of. It is canon to my world, so yeah. :3

I thought it was cute, if a bit long.
I should've had Otto wearing a thong.

Now that that image is placed in your head,
I think it'd be better to draw it instead!

Enough rhyming. I'm too good at it. SO! I hope you kidlets enjoy this exceedingly rare example of my literary skill! If you're not familiar with my characters, fix that. I've got an entire gallery full of them. Don't make me spell everything out to you. You're smarter than that. :3
